Testing for sexually transmitted infections is routine medical care. Many STIs cause no symptoms at all, which is why screening matters even when nothing feels wrong. Untreated infections can affect fertility and long-term reproductive health, and most are straightforward to treat when caught early.

- Chlamydia
- Gonorrhea
- Syphilis
- HIV
- Trichomoniasis
- Herpes (HSV)
- Hepatitis B and C
- HPV, through Pap and cervical screening
WHEN TO GET TESTED
- With a new partner, or after a change in partners
- After unprotected sex
- If a partner tells you they have tested positive
- As part of an annual gynecological exam
- Before or early in a pregnancy, alongside family planning care
- Any unusual discharge, pain, burning, or sores
TREATMENT AND FOLLOW-UP
Bacterial infections including chlamydia, gonorrhea, and syphilis are curable with antibiotics. Hepatitis C is also curable in most cases with modern antiviral medication, and we treat it here.
Herpes and HIV cannot be cured, but both are managed effectively with ongoing treatment. For HIV we confirm the diagnosis and connect you with specialist care.
Your provider reviews results with you directly and begins treatment during the same visit where possible.
